i went to withdraw the funds ( from my verified paypal account to my linked bank account !!!

withdrawer was reversed and a hold put on my paypal account ........i then phoned paypal and they said it was held just a precaution and i had done nothing wron and to continue to trade on ebay .........( funds would be released in 48 hours !!!!

then a couple of hours my paypal account was frozen for 180 days !!!!

i have over £350 in cleared funds , have sent out £350 worth of software and will not get my money for 180 days !!!!!

this is disgusting as i have done nothing wrong at all , no bad feedback and all buyers have got their purchases .......

you phone paypal they say one thing and the do another ........( even told me to keep seling while account was blobked ......)

what on earth am i supposed to do now ? this seems like fraud to me and im going to have to get a solicitor or even get police involved , no reason has been given for closing my paypal account and keeping my funds , i now have lots of stock sold and lots of stock with no way of selling them , all in all i have lost about £1000 because of paypal .....

In California PayPal is classified and registered as a money transmitter which brings them under the California Dept. of Business Oversight. PayPal is subject to scrutiny by many institutions. There may be several options where you are for finding more than one institution regulating them as money transmitters. Governments have always considered this a serious business.

IT'S NOW 240 DAYS AND THEY STILL GO MY MONEY - SIMPLY DON'T USE THEM COS THEY WILL JUST IGNORE YOU, BLANK YOU AND KEEP YOUR CASH AS LONG AS IT SUITS THEM - YOU HAVE NO REDRESS HERE IN THE UK. THEY ARE NOT A BANK

I figured it out. Happened to a few of my friends as well. Paypal are a crooked company. They do this to half their customers and there is a simple soultion to this.

They float our money on the stock exchange, into funds etc. Use our money to invest for 180 days then return the balance whilst they made a sweet little proffit at our expense.. Quite a smart idea to be honest.

I have thought the same exact thing, I think they are investing and making money off our money. I sell vinyl and compact disk, DJ Remix, not porno or even songs with bad words, they say they cant verify my identity?!, I even sent them my social security card and ID and a picture of my electric bill! I'm livid as hell and this is criminal to say the least, what if I used that money to buy insulin cause of diabetes and I died cause of it? crooks. I discovered if you have a customer that you are close with or a friend thats sent you money to paypal you can refund it back and have them give it to you or pay you a different way, i just got back $71.00 that way. But the remainder of my money is still frozen.

The people who sent you money, if you contact them first and ask if they're willing to send your payment another way and explain what's happened then refund the money back to them and have them resend it elsewhere or a different way. Like via the zelle way through your real bank account. Cause PayPal will allow you to do refunds while your account is locked. But it has to be to the people who've sent you money. Just contact them ahead of time and ask if they're willing to help you out. Start w9th the largest transaction first though.
