paypal $1.00 Donation Charges

Every few days a $1.00 paypal Donation charge appears on my CC activity report.  These charges do not appear on my Paypal account statements.  I do not recall authorizing Paypal to receive any donations from me.

I have three questions:

1. What are these charges?

2. Why do they not appear on my paypal account?

3. Are these charges fraudulent?
