charged $47 from paddle.com was paid without my approval.

when question I was told I had approved it.

No way for me to document, evaluate etc.  

Only option is to cancel PayPal which they are not allowing me to do.

The hacking etc is getting ugly along with so much cybercrime that my only option is to cancel PayPal as they are not being helpful

same no luck with my case either.. covid has hit me financially, Im using paypal since i thought it protect buyer more, turns out its disheartening

Check if you had a subscription set up...
Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > "manage pre-approved payments''.

Paypals customers are its buyers AND sellers so they give 'some' buyer and 'some' seller protection but its not and is not meant to be an insurance policy so you need to risk assess your own transactions as you would with any payment processor.
