Recently did a transaction on Etsy with SanureStore for $2.99.
I just happened to check my bank statement yesterday and see Paypal ran the sale through at $277.99!!!! I checked my Paypal and it also says $277.99!!!!
Says $277.99 debit to my bank. $2.99 transaction. $275.00 balance
I called Paypal all day and was disconnected 10 different times. Left them a call back number. Was told 30-50 minutes and they would call back. It's been 3 hours and still no call.
We did file a dispute showing the blatant overcharge. Paypal closed it immediately saying nothing was wrong. I've contacted the seller with no reply. My bank said they can file a dispute but could be 10 days and no guarantee I would see my $275.00 back.
So am I the victim of a scam as it is crystal clear Paypal has 0 intentions of helping me. Do I contact the authorities? I can't seem to speak to a human at Paypal to get anywhere. Am I out my money????
