I am selling an item on craigslist and this buyer asked for my paypal email to send me the money. then he said that he will send 1900 instead of 1200(asked price). and after that is sent the 'handler' picking up the package will require me to transfer 650 to him via money gram. Then i get emails in my spam folder from "Paypal" and the email didnt have paypal in the actual email at all. So i reported it to spoof@paypal.com. BUT... the person buying said that his money has been debited already and if I dont complete the details in the email then there will be legal actions against me. He texts me telling me he cant cancel the transaction as it has been debited and I really dont want to get scammed.

Most likely a scam.

Block all further emails.

Do not ship and do not send money to them.

Has your PayPal account been credited with $1900.00?

Only accept cash on Craigslist.

You should never send goods before you have been paid.

No money in your paypal balance = you have not been paid.
