appealing case outcome

I reported a case that did not turn out in my favour, PayPal said I could appeal the case by sending additional information. I did so after 4 days but got no confirmation that my message got recieved. Does one usually get some kind of confirmation email after submitting additional information?? since I only have 10 days to do so I am not sure if they actually got it or not and fearing of loosing my case for good.
