I bought a drone on <edited>Payments done via PayPal. Inc. Then I found payment was to ZG TECHNOLOGY CO.,LIMITED. I then googled and found both are scam opererators. I emailed the seller as per the email on PayPal and returned undelivered. Will PayPal return my money? I lodged a complain with Paypal, but after reading all these complains, I find it strange that PayPal still service this seller.

Hi everyone,

I'm very sorry to hear that you've all had a bad experience with your transactions. The disputes that have been filed, in addition to being necessary for each of you to recoup losses from your individual transactions, are also necessary to help PayPal view the big picture of a merchant's behavior. While we are unable to disclose any results of investigations or any actions taken on an account to anyone but the account's owner, I can assure you that PayPal does investigate these trends of behavior. Thank you to everyone who opened a dispute to let us know of the issue.

To any who had a post edited or removed from this thread, I am very sorry for the inconvenience. All posts must adhere to the Community Rules and Guidelines. Any posting of contact information would not be allowed.

I'm marking this post as the accepted solution in order to allow the forum to float my response to the top of the thread. This is not an indication that PayPal considers the matter closed. It is purely to ensure the visibility of this response as the thread grows. We appreciate the insight that you have all brought to the discussion and any additional posts that come from anyone else that has been affected.

Thank you.

ZG TECHNOLOGY CO.,LIMITED  Has apparently changed their name to NC TECHNOLOGY CO., LIMITED.  They are still the same outfit pulling the same scams, using PAYPAL to appear legitimate.  I and I am sure quite a few others would not have been suckered in to doing business with this company if it wasn't for their use of PAYPAL as a payment option.  They are using PAYPAL to commit fraud against your customers.

I'll be notifying the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau in Britain as advised by Action Fraud for them to start an investigation into this International Fraud running through PayPal and shopify.
It's International Organised Crime !!!!
Since neither is tackling the criminals activities around the world.
It's been running since April.
I did tell one of their management earlier this week if this scam is still running at the weekend I'd be reporting it.
Facebook has had billions wiped off its value for an international scandal with people's information.
Paypal should should take note what happens to other multinational corporations when they take their customers for granted especially when dealing with their money.

Thank you @pepeuve for a comprehensive list.

I bought 2 webcams from Marveljoy, obvs the webcams were nothing like advertised. I raised a claim with PayPal. They did not take to long to respond - interestingly, while when I first sent a message via PP to the seller there was silence, when I then escalated to PP the seller apparently responded and provided proof to PP pretty immediately. Raises some questions.

ANyway, PP says they will return the full amount after I post back the goods to Hong Kong at my own expense.

I think that PP should also deduct the return postage from the seller in the situations like this.

You may be able to get $30 back on the return postage but I think you have to activate that before filing the claim. If you send it back, make sure it will have tracking ALL THE WAY TO DELIVERY. PP denied mine because I used "USPS priority international with tracking" and supposedly only tracks as far as a chinese post office. (I think this is BS, the real reason is that the address given by PP is fraudulent). I'm still investigating through USPS about this.

@Pando-Command Thnx for the advice. I was going to try that option - to get the postage back. I have activated the feature. We’ll see. I’ll post the result.

Here is the outcome of me buying **bleep** webcams (I bought two) from Marveljoy (Fingertip Interactive Tech) and opening a claim with PP, and also requesting the refund of the return postage. Suprisingly it was a total success.

After I have escalated to PP, they informed me that I will get a full refund after I return the webcams to the Fingertip Interactive Tech Hong Kong address (the Marveljoy website shown a Singapore address, and the parcel originally came from Singapore). Their message said that the refund will be credited when the return reached Fingertip. I have uploaded the tracking number the next day I have posted, and I got my refund within a couple of days (the parcel has not yet reached HK).

At the same time I used the option to claim return postage. I am based in Russia, the max we can get is 1500 rubles (approximately $25). I paid 1858 rubles for the postage. I uploaded the postage receipt. PP sent an email informing me that my case will be decided within 5 working days.

And it was. Got a confirmation today that 1500 roubles will be reurned. So I still lost 358 roubles (approximately $5), but could have been worse.

Olivia,

This company is still re-incarnating itself under different names with the same products for sale using stolen images of legitimate products.  I know this because my Facebook page keeps showing me these ads so clearly Facebook has not caught on (why should they care, they get paid for the ads) but if this company could NOT USE PAYPAL they'd be effectively shut down - surely it cannot be hard to identify when this company materializes as a new company, domain name, etc.  My only guess is that PayPal, like Facebook, likes the income they get from this company and others like it.
