How do I open a dispute with a seller when a purchase goes wrong?

You can open a dispute in the Resolution Centre of your PayPal account within 180 days of payment if:
•You don’t receive the item OR service
•You receive an item but it’s significantly different than the description on eBay or on the seller’s website

By opening a dispute, you can communicate directly with your seller to work out a problem transaction.

If you reach an agreement with the seller you can close the dispute. If you're still not happy with the result, you can escalate the dispute into a claim. Paypal will review the claim and decide on reimbursement.

These steps apply to Personal accounts. If you have a Business account, please log in to see the steps that apply to you.

To open a dispute:
1.Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click on the transaction and use the resolve a problem option at the bottom of that details page.

Note:
•Generally buyers must wait at least 7 days from the date of payment to escalate a dispute for an item not received
•Where an item has not been received, please ensure you have given the seller enough time before opening a dispute

DO NOT CLOSE THE DISPUTE UNTIL YOU HAVE A CLEARED REFUND OR YOUR ITEM WHATEVER THE SELLER SAYS. ALSO DON'T FORGET TO ESCALATE THE DISPUTE TO A CLAIM WITHIN 20 DAYS IF THE SELLER DOES NOT REFUND.

If you lose because seller provides a fake tracking number then post back for more advice.
If the item arrives and its tat then make sure you CHANGE the dispute quickly before it closes to not as described if too late contact customer services to open a second one for you.
If that does not work then if you funded your paypal payment via a card then contact your card issuer and see if they will chargeback.

Also make sure you have activated the below link in case you have to return the item when Paypal requests you to....or the correct one for your country.

I ordered a nativity - they immediately took my money but never sent me a confirmation or a tracking number - it’s a scam!

I ordered the nativity set on January 3, 2021 and never received a confirmation or tracking information. Have you requested a refund from PayPal?

I have filed a claim on 1/10 and hope to receive a refund. Paypal has contacted Yuzhan and they have until 1/20 to respond - so far, no response. I really believe it’s a scam.

I was also scammed/swindled the Yuhzan Electronic Commerce Co., Ltd. They presented adds for the Willow Tree Nativity sets and pieces for purchase. They presented their ‘tree silhouettes’. I ordered 2 at a cost of $89.97 with shipping and handling. I received two valueless 5 centimeter plastic trees in 20 days time (1/3/21-1/22/21) Total scam!!! Unfortunately, these scammers will hurt the honest venders who sell on-line. I know I will not be taking chances anymore. I recently rejoined PayPal thinking that would give added protection. That’s a laugh. Didn’t work.

I ordered a nativity set and crèche’ on January 3rd. I never received conf. Yesterday I received a package with the sender name stating

”Jack”  and a. Fake address

the figures are half the size depicted and the crèches is in several pieces of cheap balsam wood with no directions on how to assemble and no photos. Very disappointed and definitely a scam.

I so wish I had read these comments before ordering.  Lesson learned.  I also ordered the beautiful willow tree nativity set and never received it.  I have asked for a refund but I’m not holding my breath.  Company is a total scam, don’t order from them

Happy to tell you that my nativity set arrived “out of the blue” on Monday 08/02. Just in time as I was about to raise a complaint. Hope yours arrives too.  Sane7

Update:  yesterday I received my nativity set, almost 2 months after ordering.  It is not very good quality and not “willow tree” brand.  Definitely a knock off and not worth the price, but I will not bother sending it back as I doubt I’d ever get a refund.  Sketchy company, don’t deal with them.

Same thing happened to me. I filed a dispute with PayPal on 2/3/21 and was just notified (by PayPal) that I am getting a full refund w/out having to return the fake Willow nativity set. Don’t let this scammer get away w/it......go to the resolution center and file a dispute.
