So I made a couple of purchases very late tonight ~1am then around 1:30 my phone rings with an "unknown" Nebraska number. I ignore it.
An hour later ~2:30am the number calls again. Ok this is weird, so I pick up. "This is paypal fraud protection we detected a possible fraudulent transaction from ekhkzzkt for x amount....." "ekhkzzkt" is what it sounded like. Turned out to be how the TTS pronounced "eBay".
I made 2 purchases on ebay from 2 separate buyers. I was charged sales tax separately for each direct from eBay.
Paypal was not complaining about the purchases themselves, but they thought the SALES TAX charges from EBAY was fraudulent!?!?
Wowzers what a messed up system.🙄
