What would you do?

Hi all - here’s the issue. I sold an item for $35 on eBay. The buyer received the item and left me positive feedback saying the item was great and what a great deal it was. 
Then 2 weeks later, I get a message from PayPal that the buyers bank filed an unauthorized transaction claim and proceeded to debit the $35 from my account. 
of course, I contacted the buyer through an eBay message . He was sorry. He said he lost his bank card and told the bank. He assured me he would clear it up with the bank. He later contacted me through eBay message that he contacted the bank and they would drop the claim. 

‘’Now, a week later, PayPal tells me the case is closed. The bank had decided in the buyers favor. DESPITE ALL THE EVIDENCE. Now  I can’t get through to PayPal at all about the matter. Has anybody ever heard anything like this?  What would you do?
