What to do? PayPal sends you an email saying they put money in your account & then doesn't?

PayPal acknowledges the emails and confesses that they have never seen anything like this...but doesn't want to acknowledge the transaction numbers on my email or explain why those same numbers aren't on the on-line transaction reports.
