What are the chances of a successful appeal or permanent account closure?

I've had my account for over 10 years with no issues at all.

 

I got an email saying "After a thorough review of your PayPal account, we're initiating its closure in order to protect us from potential financial losses. You'll no longer be able to use PayPal."

 

I'm incredibly confused as I've not done anything different in the 10 years I've had my account, customer service lady said she is going to escalate the problem.

 

The email's log in link at the bottom didn't work, the live chat is saying it isn't business hours when it is and even the live chat button doesn't work properly.

 

What is going on?
