Was sent money from a friend and now says unauthorised transaction

I received money from a friend £200 on the 11th of may. I then transferred the £200 into my bank account the same day. On the 17th of may I then noticed my PayPal balance is now -£200 and that the £200 I received is ‘pending’ and now has a message from PayPal saying the following - ‘The buyer reported that someone made the order without their permission. Until this case is closed, we've also placed a hold on the transaction amount’ What do I do??

An unauthorised transaction means that an account holders Paypal account was hacked and used without their consent by your ?buyer.
If Paypal check IP addresses etc and find in favour of the account holder then of course they are reimbursed.

However you would not lose out either as long as you met ALL the requirements of seller protection, so your best bet is to go and read up on it to make sure you were covered.
