Unauthorized charges for $2837.70

I received notification of a charge that I never made. I immediately went into my Paypal account and 7 charges made and shipped to an address that is not my address. I immediately filed in the Resolution center. With 30 minutes the dispute was rejected however these charges are clearly out of my normal pattern. This is an egregious violation of Consumer protection.

Paypal does not cover you for all unauthorised transactions, you need to read their user agreement to see what they cover and what they do not.

If the account has been put at risk because of something on your part eg you clicked on a link in an email and gave away your paypal details OR another account ie facebook or discord was hacked leading to the compromised access of your paypal account then you would not be covered.

Your best bet is to reach out to customer services to ask why.
