Unauthorized Money Transfer

There was an unauthorized money transfer from my bank account that listed (Traydabest1 via PayPal). I logged into my Paypal, which I haven't used in a year, and there are no transactions SINCE last year. I even checked my side account and there were no recent transactions in the last year. I need help getting my money back. Is this some kind of elaborate hack and can I get my institution to pay me back?

I'm sorry to hear about the unauthorized activity showing in your bank account. It sounds like the debit card associated that bank account may have been used without authorization either on a different account or as a guest payment. Please contact PayPal customer service to allow a representative to investigate the transaction and close off any avenues fraudulently using that card. Once that is confirmed as what's happening, you'll want to call your bank to have that card closed and a new card number issued, to prevent anyone who has the number from using it again, even outside of PayPal's system.
