Unauthorised transaction -fraud

There has recently been an unauthorised transaction and I have been charged £80, I have opened a case and been refunded £80, however I have been told they can't cover the cost so they will leave me with a negative £80. I have contacted paypal through live chat and they keep telling me how to pay it back using my bank card (which has no balance) rather than how to diagnose the situation which is not helpful at all. Another answer I have been given is that if I win the case the negative balance will disappear, it has been like over a week since then and I've received another email telling me to pay back the £80.
