I recently had a payment withdrawn from my bank account of £40 which i did not authorise. Upon learning of this, I checked my emails to find out someone had terminated my account. This meant i could not get a refund from the account easily, therefore i have had to try and contact the paypal services but the replies have been abysmal. Does anyone know how i can contact a human being instead of an automated machine. Please help.

I'm so sorry to hear about the unauthorized activity! The fact that the fraudster closed your account does complicate things, but you definitely still have options. To contact customer service, please click Help & Contact at the bottom of any PayPal page for contact options, or reach out by Facebook or Twitter. A representative will be able to help you get things resolved.
