I filed a dispute for something that was not at all what I ordered. The seller is offering to refund my money but only if I cancel the paypal dispute. The seller doesn't seem to be trustworthy in anyway. If I paid through PayPal the refund would have to be through PayPal so why do I need to cancel the dispute? Wouldn't PayPal know the dispute was resolved? Feel like I'm being scammed for the second time around

Hi Mom11415 and welcome,
I really hope my response here is not too late. Please do not cancel the dispute. Once it is cancelled it can never be re-opened. All sellers have the option to refund you via the case so this should not be an issue.
I hope this helps,
Paula
