Tracking number for faulty software refund

I have authorization for a refund for faulty software. The instructions want a "Tracking Number" and shipping form to validate my refund.

How in the world am I to return faulty software? More importantly (apparently), How can I possibly obtain a tracking number for software???

I certainly want my $$ back. Help please.
