To confirm receip or not?

I sent a payment for a course/service which I then disputed with the seller. He agreed to refund me but asked that I click the Confirm Receipt button on the transaction from my end (once it had been activated after 48 hours). He said once I had done that he would return the money to me. Should I do this or is it better to simply to raise a dispute? My concern is that if I click the Confirm Receipt it's preventing me from raising a dispute if he simply ignores me and doesn't send the money back.

Of course you should not, if you do then you would lose any dispute for non receipt of item or service.
