Storm Media Limited, Fraud?

As I was going through my receipts for taxes I noticed an entry on my PayPal for Storm Media Limited for last July. I order art instructional videos often, but I could not find any other info for this. I was charged $24.92.

Has anyone else had problems with Storm Media Limited? I didn't get whatever this company said I ordered. I don't know what it is.

I would like to warn others that this could be a fraud.

I ordered some products from storm media on September 30.  They received their money through pay pal on October 1st.  I never received an order confirmation nor have i received any shipping information.  After reading some information here I fear that I have been duped out of over 55 dollars.  I would sure appreciate any info to contact as I have found nothing except that the company was dissolved in 2006.

20180919_164851(0).jpg I have £been in dispute with paypal over the goods i recieved from Storm Media, i know some of you have had problems with this company also.  the goods supplied as in the picture cost me $20.96 and was supposed to be a brilliant cleaning product.  there are no instructions or ingredients supplied with the tablets so i cannot and will not use them.  paypal have decided against my claim because the company supplied goods, i have tried to contact the supplier but no joy as everyone on here knows they are uncontactable.  i have had many emails with paypal to resolve this and their only solution is for me to return the goods at a cost of £10 leaving me with a refund of £6.  Why on earth would i pay £10 to return what is essentially a plastic bottle and some unidentified tablets.  i am so frustrated and was wondering if anyone else has been left feeling this way whilst dealing with paypal and Storm Media.  am i the only stupid person who bought from them?  I have addded a facebook post to warn others about this company but somehow dont feel this is enough.

Paypal buyer protection can never be a 100% coverall, so in the event of a dispute you need to bear in mind possible return trackable costs before you buy from that seller / item / country.

Paypal state this >>
PayPal is not obliged to reimburse you for any costs that you incur to comply with any of PayPal’s requests for cooperation for the purpose of resolving the problem (including, without limitation, costs that you incur to return a SNAD item to the Payment Recipient or another party as PayPal requests), although sometimes it may reimburse these costs.

Although they will compensate you for some of the cost if you have activated this at some point before you made that transaction .....
https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/refunded-returns

If you buy from a business in the UK then you can normally recover those return costs via the small claims court although most UK businesses would reimburse you anyway. (BUT if you choose to buy from a private or international seller you may not have that option).
You also have the option to do a chargeback via your card issuer instead of a Paypal dispute if you funded your Paypal payment via a credit card.

Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Order from Chic delta(storm Media Ltd).  Over 2 months and 10 emails with them and still haven’t received my order.  PayPal should not do business with dishonest companies.

When you pay via bank transfer or credit card and are ripped off do you blame your bank or card company?

Paypal gives you more protection than you bank however...............

How do I open a dispute with a seller when a purchase goes wrong?

You can open a dispute in the Resolution Centre of your PayPal account within 180 days of payment if:
•You don’t receive the item
•You receive an item but it’s significantly different than the description on eBay or on the seller’s website

By opening a dispute, you can communicate directly with your seller to work out a problem transaction.

If you reach an agreement with the seller you can close the dispute. If you're still not happy with the result, you can escalate the dispute into a claim. We'll review the claim and decide on reimbursement.

These steps apply to Personal accounts. If you have a Business account, please log in to see the steps that apply to you.

To open a dispute:
1.Log in to your PayPal account.
2.Near the bottom of the page, under 'More about your account', click Resolve a problem in our Resolution Centre.
3.Click Dispute a Transaction.
4.Select the button beside the transaction you want to dispute, then click Continue.
5.Select ‘Item dispute’, click Continue and follow the on-screen instructions.

Note:
•Generally buyers must wait at least 7 days from the date of payment to escalate a dispute for an item not received
•Where an item has not been received, please ensure you have given the seller enough time before opening a dispute

https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/first-dispute

DO NOT CLOSE THE DISPUTE UNTIL YOU HAVE A CLEARED REFUND OR YOUR ITEM WHATEVER THE SELLER SAYS. ALSO DON'T FORGET TO ESCALATE THE DISPUTE TO A CLAIM WITHIN 20 DAYS IF THE SELLER DOES NOT REFUND.

If that does not work then if you funded your paypal payment via a card then contact your card issuer and see if they will do a chargeback for you.

Hi I did that and paypal did not find on my behalf so I am trying to appeal at the moment.

Thank you for your response it is annoying when I saw other people are having trouble with this company and they are allowing us to still trade with them. Paypal should advise people that this company is a disgraceful company who do not answer the buyers but are quick to respond to paypal when you do a dispute with them.

STORM MEDIA are crooks!  PP should not allow them to use. They create fraudulent ad's, then when you try to get your money back PP makes it impossible [under the table payouts?]. When you return the product to China the address you are given to return is fake, it never arrives. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM STORM MEDIA !!
