Storm Media Limited, Fraud?

As I was going through my receipts for taxes I noticed an entry on my PayPal for Storm Media Limited for last July. I order art instructional videos often, but I could not find any other info for this. I was charged $24.92.

Has anyone else had problems with Storm Media Limited? I didn't get whatever this company said I ordered. I don't know what it is.

I would like to warn others that this could be a fraud.

Hi there,

I have not received the shipment notification or items from Storm Media Ltd, or info regarding the acquisition status.

I am wondering why PayPal users are not protected from suspicious companies, while at the same time taking a big amount of money on provisions, transactions from regular and irregular companies. I am very disappointed not just by violations but with PayPal reaction to problems in general.

How do I open a dispute with a seller when a purchase goes wrong?

You can open a dispute in the Resolution Centre of your PayPal account within 180 days of payment if:
•You don’t receive the item
•You receive an item but it’s significantly different than the description on eBay or on the seller’s website

By opening a dispute, you can communicate directly with your seller to work out a problem transaction.

If you reach an agreement with the seller you can close the dispute. If you're still not happy with the result, you can escalate the dispute into a claim. We'll review the claim and decide on reimbursement.

These steps apply to Personal accounts. If you have a Business account, please log in to see the steps that apply to you.

To open a dispute:
1.Log in to your PayPal account.
2.Near the bottom of the page, under 'More about your account', click Resolve a problem in our Resolution Centre.
3.Click Dispute a Transaction.
4.Select the button beside the transaction you want to dispute, then click Continue.
5.Select ‘Item dispute’, click Continue and follow the on-screen instructions.

Note:
•Generally buyers must wait at least 7 days from the date of payment to escalate a dispute for an item not received
•Where an item has not been received, please ensure you have given the seller enough time before opening a dispute

https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/first-dispute

DO NOT CLOSE THE DISPUTE UNTIL YOU HAVE A CLEARED REFUND OR YOUR ITEM WHATEVER THE SELLER SAYS. ALSO DON'T FORGET TO ESCALATE THE DISPUTE TO A CLAIM WITHIN 20 DAYS IF THE SELLER DOES NOT REFUND.

If that does not work then if you funded your paypal payment via a card then contact your card issuer and see if they will do a chargeback for you.

Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

I has exactly the dame experiencia. An order that was never delivered. Every now and then they would send a mail indicating a new tracking number, but all of them were invalid. The actual supplier was supposedly 9uppa.

I've also become a victim to this company. I ordered this supposed "amazing" foundation from a Facebook ad that looked legit. It's been two weeks and I have yet to receive anything. No emails, no tracking, no product. I have escalated this claim in hopes PayPal does something about this company. Ridiculous they've been around for a while and nothing is being done!

I filed my claim against this company a few weeks ago and they had the nerve to add a tracking number to my claim for a label created THAT DAY. PayPal should have been able to see that the tracking number they added had been for a label not yet printed. This was after a month of no product, emails or tracking updates from this company. I just want my money back and now I'm probably not going to get it! This is my last straw with PayPal. Ridiculous.

I've also become a victim to this company after ordering some items on one of their websites.

Everything looked legit, and i even received tracking information.
Searching for the tracking ID i received error with a message saying : "seller(shipper) gave you an unused(invalid) tracking number which does NOT associated to any shipped parcel".
I sent 5 emails and received no reply before opening a dispute with Paypal.
Why PayPal not doing anything about this company ? having more than 1,700 users reporting a problem about this merchant and going over more than a year now ? When will Paypal take the high rode and block this merchant for good ?

I guess I'm a victim too. I never received the 2 magnetic curtain holders I'd ordered from Storm Media. What's next? Befuddled 🤔

I was looking at some sleeves and backed out of the order when I saw the shipping cost. Next thing I know my pay pal account was charged 17.67 by Storm Media Limited...
