Storm Media Limited, Fraud?

As I was going through my receipts for taxes I noticed an entry on my PayPal for Storm Media Limited for last July. I order art instructional videos often, but I could not find any other info for this. I was charged $24.92.

Has anyone else had problems with Storm Media Limited? I didn't get whatever this company said I ordered. I don't know what it is.

I would like to warn others that this could be a fraud.

I believe this company to be a fraudulent outfit and I am clearly not alone in having had problems with them.Stupidly I ordered some cleaning products from them which took weeks to arrive and when they did it was not what I had ordered and certainly was not worth 25 USD.I do not think that Paypal should have anything to do with this company or represent them. The company does not respond to e mails and clearly I am going to have to write this down as a warning and learning curve not to order off these type of sites. They are on instagram too and this is wholly wrong

I agree, they are simply crooks! I ordered a car drying towel and 3 months later after getting PayPal involved I received a a 'towel' the size of a flannel. PayPal simply closed the dispute as 'resolved' just by looking at the tracking info. PayPal should NOT be allowing payments to this site especially after hundreds of complaints.

Has anyone else had problems ordering goods from Storm Media?  Have waited ages for my order, sent several emails, contacted PayPal for help or advice but they were not much help.

How do I open a dispute with a seller when a purchase goes wrong?

You can open a dispute in the Resolution Centre of your PayPal account within 180 days of payment if:
•You don’t receive the item
•You receive an item but it’s significantly different than the description on eBay or on the seller’s website

By opening a dispute, you can communicate directly with your seller to work out a problem transaction.

If you reach an agreement with the seller you can close the dispute. If you're still not happy with the result, you can escalate the dispute into a claim. We'll review the claim and decide on reimbursement.

These steps apply to Personal accounts. If you have a Business account, please log in to see the steps that apply to you.

To open a dispute:
1.Log in to your PayPal account.
2.Near the bottom of the page, under 'More about your account', click Resolve a problem in our Resolution Centre.
3.Click Dispute a Transaction.
4.Select the button beside the transaction you want to dispute, then click Continue.
5.Select ‘Item dispute’, click Continue and follow the on-screen instructions.

Note:
•Generally buyers must wait at least 7 days from the date of payment to escalate a dispute for an item not received
•Where an item has not been received, please ensure you have given the seller enough time before opening a dispute

https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/first-dispute

DO NOT CLOSE THE DISPUTE UNTIL YOU HAVE A CLEARED REFUND OR YOUR ITEM WHATEVER THE SELLER SAYS. ALSO DON'T FORGET TO ESCALATE THE DISPUTE TO A CLAIM WITHIN 20 DAYS IF THE SELLER DOES NOT REFUND.

If that does not work then if you funded your paypal payment via a card then contact your card issuer and see if they will do a chargeback for you.

Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

I ordered a fan on July 3 following an advert on Instagram, it didn't arrive, I contacted them (grab us home) several times and each time it took a week or more to respond. I asked to cancel it and get a refund, September 24th it was apparently delivered, I have no use for this item as it was for use in the summer, I don't know if it is any good yet as I moved to another country since! PayPal why do you keep accepting payment for them?

Add me to the list.  I purchased product from them and never received it.  I would think that PayPal would have some type of blocking to not allow payment to reported Fraud and Scam sites.

It would be good if PayPal would reply to this thread. Unbelievable that they are just ignoring us.

I completely agree with you. Perhaps PayPal don't respect their users?

Yes, I'm sure PayPal are reading this. They have replied earlier in the thread, but have gone remarkably quiet now.
