Shipping charge refund

Just a quick question about an eBay refund in getting. I ordered 2 Terra Cotta pots that weren't packed properly and both arrived smashed and broken. Why aren't they refunding my shipping charges? It's not my fault they don't know how to pack their merchandise. Thanks!

A bit of info would help.

did you file an ebay dispute?

did they find in your favour?

if so they would have paid return shipping?

did you file a paypal dispute?

did they find in your favour?

did you return the item back to the seller?

did you activate the return shipping on us option before you made the transaction?

have you been issued a refund?

was it done by ebay or paypal or the seller?

Hi, I requested a refund on eBay and received a reply a couple days later that they accepted my return and would be sending a return shipping label. I thought this was strange, why did they want smashed pretty back. Then a couple days later I got an email from PayPal that Hayneedle was sending me a refund. They didn't refund the shipping, and I think they should. Thanks 🙂
