Seller is asking to close account before sending remplacement order

Hi there. Long story short, I have a dispute with a seller, who is promising to send me my items (previously sent to the wrong address) but is asking me to close the dispute beforehand saying a PayPal dispute blocks my account in their system (is that possible?). What should I do? I want my items, I think they are willing to send them but I'm not comfortable closing the dispute since I will have no recourse if anything goes wrong from there. On the other hand, if I don't close the dispute they can't send me the items. That's a pretty vicious circle and I'm in the middle of it, loosing either way apparently. Or I take the risk, or I follow Paypal's advise and risk not to get my items (which I had ordered with an interesting discount and 1 of my items is already not available anymore till October).
