STERDIO (and others) Watch Scams

Ugh... seems like many people (or more likely one person pretending to be multiple companies) is scamming people out of $40 for a smart watch.

I bought from STERDIO and it has not shipped yet.

Others have posted that they got CRAP that is NOTHING like what is advertised.

Supposedly, even in this egregious case Paypal seems to require you to send back the product, at your own expense, to CHINA!

That sound right?

Seems like PayPal should give 100% refund, without shipping charge, when it is a clearly SCAM activity and they are getting multiple complains.

They even should freeze the account.

Product I ordered.  Not yet shipped.  Others have posted that they got CRAP nothing like the product description/video.

what is so alluring that you want to buy from China?

A. Cost

B. Not sure I even knew it was coming from China.

C. I look at shipping charges to me... I don't look at/consider return shipping charges.

D. Trust in PayPal guarantee (which has been clarified now, so I now understand the limited value of this guarantee).

E. Since this is obviously a SCAM company, then PayPal should:

     a. stop accepting payments to them.

     b. Allow refunds without returning totally misrepresented product.

Did you ever received your item? I just got scammed by sterdio for $40 and here's how it went down.

1. They send me a dispatched order with a tracking number over a shady tacking web-site https://t.17track.net

2. In few days, the item was showing "returned to the sender" with the reason "security clearing failed"

3. When contacted Sterdio, they were saying they still didn't receive the item

4. Filed a dispute with PayPal claims center

5. Seller provided a totally new tracking number through the same shady site  https://t.17track.net showing item being delivered

6. PayPal closed the case on seller favor on the grounds that "Seller has provided a valid tracking number"

Go figure Man Mad

Yes, I did get my watch eventually.

But it is NOTHING like what the video shows on their site.

And PayPal doesn't give refunds for pure SCAM'S.

And they don't pay for return shipping to China. (I saw some new promotion for Christmas, however).

And, you have to ship it back before Paypal will return your money, which makes sense in NORMAL circumstances, just not SCAMS.

I charged it up once and played with it a bit... but so frustrated I have not really tried to use it.

I too bought that crap, half knowing it was a scam but sometimes NOS or last year's model do come up for sale cheap but not the Radiance A3, THERE IS NO SUCH WATCH! If bought on PayPal you can claim and receive 100% refund Inc shipping and also claim back the return postage, see Bottom of your PayPal details. I also declared return value at 50€ to make sure the **bleep** paid import and tax too.
