Returned item, still waiting for a refund

Hello,

I returned an item on Monday last week, it arrived at destination on Wednesday and collected. How long do I wait for an email confirmation / refund from the seller before heading down the dispute road with Paypal.

Item purchase was from a website (on-running.com)
