Refunded twice

Hi, Writing on behalf of a friend who is not tech savvy at all!! Her account was recently hacked and the person changed her address and ordered a £599 item to be delivered to a collection point/local shop. She immediately reported this to PayPal under a dispute and PayPal refunded it instantly. In addition, and to inhibit the fraudster intercepting the item at the collection point, she also contacted the merchant (A big household brand!). The merchant was of course happy to be contacted, and they were able to put a recall on the item for it to be immediately returned when delivered (as item had already been dispatched). She thought no more of it.. PayPal issued refund and merchant were able to recoup the large item. Win win for all. Anyway, over a week later the merchant has now also issued the £599 back into her account - so she has had the funds from PayPal and now again directly from the merchant. What is the protocol here? Is their recourse? Is it down to her to resolve? Or will the merchant and or PayPal realise and one party will somehow contact to recoup the double up? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.
