Refunded buyer does not return the item

The buyer received a full refund through PayPal but the sold item hasn’t been returned. This is unfair as the buyer basically got the item for free. Also, I believe that refunding the buyer at the first case was unfair since Depop states that “minor flaws and signs of wear, to be noted in the description OR PHOTOS” which they have been clearly shown on photos, close up and with different lighting and contrasts. Please could you look into this issue and if you do decide to refund them, I need my item back.

Normally you wait for a buyer to return the item before you have to refund.

If it was as the result of a dispute then paypal normally tends to tell the buyer to return the item first unless the seller has not responded to the dispute/claim at all.

Sadly however you can't force a buyer to return an item once you have already refunded.


Advice is voluntary.
