I sold a phone on ebay, which then got returned to me. The buyer was refunded and my paypal account showed a negative balance for the amount of the refund. I then added the funds to my account to cover this negative balance and assumed everything was sorted.
Ebay are now trying to say that they have refunded the buyer and i owe them the money also - and that my paypal refund wasnt successful. I'm pretty confused about this as i cant understand where the money i added to my account has gone as if the refund was unsuccessful, i should have a balance on my paypal account of the funds i added.
I am reluctant to pay ebay as from my point of view, i have already refunded this amount.
Can someone please help?
