Refund Escalation...Didn't Happen???!

I had been going back and forth with a seller about an item that was falsely advertised. One the day before the case automatically closed (yesterday), I  escalated the claim to PayPal, and explained my reasons for doing so. I clicked to accept, and it told me it would take up to 30 days.

 

Then today I got an email informing me that my chance to escalate is over.

 

WTF! Is there anything I can do or did PayPal get one over on me?
