Because of COVID, puppy sellers are not allowing viewings. I have put down a deposit on a puppy based on an advert, with pictures, on Pets4 Homes and then a FaceTime viewing after that. I have received communication from the seller since paying the deposit, including pics and videos of the puppy I have agreed to purchase. At some point the seller will want the balance before collection day so I will have then paid in full for a puppy I have only seen on a video. If this turns out to be a scam, do I have any protection from PayPal?
