Problems with dispute process

I’m wondering if anyone else has had issues with the dispute process?  I returned an item as part of the process to get a refund, and provided PayPal the tracking info.  While the item is still in transit, presumably delayed due to the backlogs caused by COVID, they have now closed my dispute saying that I didn’t prove I returned the item.   Has this type of thing happened to anyone else, and did you get it resolved?

 

I have asked in the message centre to speak with a supervisor but I’m starting to wonder if such a person exists....
