So someone made a payment twice into my account in error, same date for the same amount of money literally within moments of each other. PayPal automatically emailed me to say payments are under dispute, we are investigating. Therefore, I go on about my business trusting PayPal will sort it out because the payment has definitely been made in error to me. The payments of £10 each are “pending” and “on hold” so the money is not in my account. I have begun to now receive messages from the person who made the payments saying I need to refund the money as their “family needs it”. I replied to say I do not have their money, PayPal has the transactions on hold and is investigating so they need to contact PayPal, not me! I hope I won’t receive any more messages, it made me very uneasy.
