Paypal no longer provide services but did not pay back my money

Hi all,

I need your help. So I created Paypal account when I was in the UK (years ago) and have been using it since. Recently I've moved back to Vietnam (and forgot to close Paypal account before then). I reported to them recently and they sent a message saying they will no longer provide service to me (as I am not in England anymore), so they set a limitation on my account. This means I can't transfer my money on Paypal Wallet to anywhere, and I have quite a lot of money on this UK account that I cannot just "let it go".

Tried to email, message them but nothing happens. I got one of their staff to help me but he promised (that he will help to lift the limitation so I can transfer my money and then close the account myself), but it has been months and f'all happens. Can anyone help please? What can I do?

Paypal is country specific so if you move countries you have to open another paypal account in the country you reside in and add an address / phone number / bank accounts / cards from within that country.

You should really withdraw any funds / resolve issues / remove cards and bank accounts / cancel any subscriptions and close the old Paypal account before you move countries. If you don't then you may have problems doing so once you have moved and may need to contact customer services for help to resolve things.
