Paypal customer service made hacked account issue worse

Hi,
I have been trying to get into contact with paypal customer service effectively for days now. My paypal account with my school email address has been hacked (password and recovery info changed, and they have changed the account to a business account to scam others and associate with my school). I received initial help but customer service has responded to my email (that I was directed to send) in the message center of my hacked account WHICH ONLY THE PERSON WHO HACKED MY ACCOUNT CAN SEE.
Not only do I still not have access to my account, but also the person who hacked it now can see I am actively trying to get access to it back. How could I go about getting any (effective) help from paypal customer service. Any advice would be VERY appreciated.
