Paypal account locked despite providing ID proving that I am over 18.

Hi,

     Late last month, I received an email from paypal telling me that my account had been restricted and I needed to provide ID to continue using my account. After doing this, I received an email from paypal telling me that since I was 'below 18', my account had been locked and will no longer be provided services from paypal. This is strange to me, given that not only did the ID I provided show that I was above 18, the ID can't even be obtained before the age of 18 in my country. The money that's left in the account is being held, and I'm not even allowed to close my account.

I think the point is, did you open the paypal account under 18?

If so then even if you are now 30 and they discovered it, then it would be limited as an illegally opened underage account.
