Payment through PayPal without using an account

I bought an item through PayPal without using an account, only to discover that I was being scammed. The seller wouldn’t let me cancel the order and has ignored all of my emails. I got a PayPal account by clicking the link in the email I received for my payment, thinking that if I made an account through this link, I was going to be able to make a claim for a refund through PayPal, but the purchase didn’t transfer into the account. There is also seemingly no way for me to ask for a refund through my payment email. Is there any way I can fix this issue and get my money back?

If you bought something online with a debit or credit card and did NOT log into your paypal account then of course it won't show on your paypal account as you bought as a 'guest buyer'.

If you need to open a dispute for a 'guest buyer' transaction then you can.......
1. Phone Paypal customer services and see if they will open one for you OR
2. Contact your card issuer for a chargeback.

Kudos / Solution appreciated.
