I unfortunately bought an item on Facebook Marketplace and agreed to pay by PayPal. The moment I generated the transaction the item and person disappeared from Facebook. PayPal sent me a message asking whether to authorize this transaction and I checked NO and added a note verifying this. The transaction went through. Contacted my bank but amount had already been taken from my account. Called PayPal and was shifted from one person to another, long time on hold. They closed the dispute without even contacting me. I have the persons email.
Why does PayPal send a message asking whether to pay or not, then disregards it?
