PayPal dispute claim

Hello PayPal community I hope you're doing well and safe. This is the first time opening a dispute claim so I'm a little confused. I purchased a product and haven't received it. After claiming a dispute the seller contacted me saying "In order to receive your money back you should close your dispute" I don't know if i should close it. Apparently a dispute is opened once so I can't decide on what to do.

Note: Sorry for my poor English.

If you had to close a case to get a refund then it would be pointless opening one.
NEVER close a dispute / claim until you have a refund.
If the seller issued a refund then that would close the dispute automatically.
If he doesn't escalate to a claim.
Do not close it or he can ignore you and you can't open a second dispute OR re-open a closed one.
