PayPal case keeps dragging on, no response from PP customer service.

I have a case from August that keeps getting the resolution date pushed back, so it's been dragging on for nearly two months now. Every few days it "updates" just to show that the resolution date has been pushed back another few days. Messages to PayPal about the case go unanswered. I have until the end of the month to do a chargeback on my credit card. Should I just go ahead and do the chargeback, or continue to wait for PayPal? Thank you!
