PayPal Dispute Resolution Breeds Fraud Online Sellers

Do not get comfortable online, trusting the PayPal will protect you from fraud. In fact, they encourage it!

My recent dispute involved a fraudulent online seller, who takes your money, then scours the USPS tracking records, then attaches that USPS tracking record to the order (never intending to deliver).

I thought, well... this is pretty open/shut case, right? NOPE! PayPal just closed my dispute in favor of the fraud seller, even though:

The Order Date was May 17th, 2020

Tracking Delivery Date was April 30th! (18 days before the order date)

But, PayPal (in their infinite wisdom), gave me this reply:

Case Resolution: Decided in seller's favour
Adjudication reason: Valid tracking info provided by the seller.

Don't take my word on it, just check out the details...

Case closed

Case ID: PP-D-67694864

The outcome of the case was not in your favor.

Ugh... you have given me no faith in my own PayPal dispute with shipping issue.  Have you tried to dispute thru your credit card or bank?
