Ordered a desk

Hi All,

I ordered a desk for my daughter online. When I wanted to assemble it it turned out there was an issue in that they made a mistake in packaging and gave me two parts the same for the left side. I contacted them, they asked for a photo and agreed to send me the missing part so I can construct the desk. I asked could I discard the box and they said yes but to send them a photo of the packaging slip, they responded by email to say thanks for the photo and we would receive notice as soon as the part shipped.

8 weeks went by and we heard nothing - I contacted them 8 times no reply.

I raised a case on PAYPAL and they have now offered a full refund but only if I return the full desk to them in Spain! A) This will cost a lot, B) I no longer have the box and C) it's a big and heavy item!

Any thoughts on what I can do? I just want them to send me the missing part so I can build the desk!

Thanks,

Michelle

In the event of a dispute you need to bear in mind possible return trackable costs before you buy from that seller / item / country because....

Paypal state this >>
PayPal is not obliged to reimburse you for any costs that you incur to comply with any of PayPal’s requests for cooperation for the purpose of resolving the problem (including, without limitation, costs that you incur to return a SNAD item to the Payment Recipient or another party as PayPal requests), although sometimes it may reimburse these costs.

Although they will compensate you for some of the cost if you have activated this at some point before you made that transaction.
https://www.paypal.com/us/smarthelp/article/FAQ3544 (select one for your country).

You also have the option to do a chargeback via your card issuer instead of a Paypal dispute if you funded your Paypal payment via a credit card.
