I made a purchase and was given a tracking number. The number was never entered in the system. I asked for my money back and even called to no avail. I then went to PayPal. I recieved no help from them. If you use this service be very wary. You're on your own. Completely alone. My money was stolen.

Went to paypal doesn't mean anything, what dispute did you open / did you escalate to a claim / did you get asked to return the item / how did you fund the paypal payment etc etc etc.

I did escalate a claim. No one asked me to return anything because nothing was ever mailed to me.

Your Claim is probably still open, it can take almost 2 months, especially now.

Also if you forgot to upgrade it from Dispute to Claim, you lost and you have to blame yourself.

Did you open a dispute for non receipt of item?

If so did the seller provide tracking and the claim was closed?

Again if so and the items tracking number was fake or incorrect then............

 

To submit an appeal on the dispute that was closed, PayPal asks that you obtain a detailed report from the shipper (on their letterhead or some other form of official stationary) that includes the address the seller gave them for the shipment or that includes a statement mentioning your address and saying the item was delivered to a different address.

 

When you have that, contact PayPal via phone (log on to your account and click Contact at the bottom of the page), via Facebook (send a Private Message to PayPal) or via Twitter (send a Direct Message to @AskPayPal) and say you want to appeal the denial of the dispute based on the shipper saying the item was delivered to a different address. Once it's submitted (you will be provided with directions on how to do that), the dispute will be reviewed further and a determination will be made.

 

Finally if that doesn't work then contact your card issuer and see if they will chargeback for you?

I was burned by a fraudulent seller on PayPal and PayPal did nothing for me, and instead protected the scammer. I am furious! And as a writer, I have decided to write an article about it.
