About 6 months ago Paypal put both of my accounts on hold due to "questionable use" of my accounts. I had started getting my unemployment benefits deposited to these accounts. I have had the avcounts for several years. They released one account but still have my account with $2400 on hold and have said they can no longer offer me their services. Has anyone else had this happen and actually gotren their money transferred out of the closed account?? They are supposed to send and email after 180 days on how to transfer my money out of that account

If you have been told your Paypal account has been permanently limited then Paypal tends to hold any funds for 180 days. This is the same time frame that buyers have to open Paypal disputes.

If no disputes are opened in 180 days then normally you are allowed to withdraw the funds. That is as long as you are over 18, the account is in your legal name and registered in the country where you reside.

Sometimes they confiscate funds under this policy.

Paypal also may request further documentation from you before you can withdraw those funds.
