No Help

I've tried calling 3 times.  None of the automated choices apply to me, but when I finally get to where it indicates I'm being transferred to an agent it hangs up.  Did I mention that Paypal has hung up on me THREE TIMES?

 

I purchased a small appliance with a Visa credit card and received an emailed receipt from Paypal on April 6th. Apparently, Paypal was an intermediary in the transaction.  I haven't heard from the appliance's company, but the charge has shown on my card. The automated resolution area on Paypal's website indicates that I have no such charge.  Why did I receive a receipt from Paypal, yet there is no record of the charge? I'm trying to determine if I'm a phishing victim.

Update:  I finally was able to communicate with a human at Paypal.  No resolution yet, but at least I'm not dealing with a machine anymore.
