Need to cancel a payment

I need to cancel a payment. I got the email to say payment sent but I can't see it in my transactions. Just found out its a scammer

It may not be possible to cancel the payment but if you have not received the item or the item you received is not as decribed you can open a dispute on the transaction. For more information on the dispute process within PayPal please review this link - Open Dispute
