On 9th January, a transaction appeared on my Paypal account for $200 USD to someone I have never heard of. I live in the UK, but as the transaction was in US dollars I can only assume that the payee lives in the US. The email receipt gave no indication about what the money was for. I immediately raised an Unauthorised Transaction complaint with Paypal. A few hours later they denied my claim saying that the transaction was ‘not unauthorised’. An appeal was also rejected.
Can anyone please tell me what I can do next? The transaction put me over my credit card limit and has caused me much distress so far.
