Hi, I purchased two phones on eBay. Both sellers did not state in their description that the phones were property of their network provider for the first six months and by selling them, they have committed fraud under section 2 of their contracts. I only know this because I called to pay for the phones to be unlocked and I was told this information. I have to wait six months before they would consider unlocking them. Now I am stuck with two phones that I cannot use and I’m fearful that they maybe blocked by the network provider. I got the network provider to email me these facts and sent the email to PayPal to help with their review. If fraud has taken place, shouldn’t PayPal do something about this ASAP? I have escalated these two cases to a claim. Do you think I’ll get my monies returned? One was a birthday present for my partner, so I feel terrible ☹️
