Lodging a Complaint After Failed Attempts

I am trying to lodge a complaint by following the advice of contacting PayPal. I have asked the team three times for assistance and they continue to dodge my request. How can I escalate this?

Firstly not sure it applies to you but normally you can only change a name on a paypal account for a 2 character error OR for legal reasons ie marriage / divorce / legal name change.

You would then have to provide legal documents to prove the name was legally changed.

Secondly to make a Paypal complaint ...

OR if you get no luck that way then...

As you have given 0 information on here as to what has happened / how you paid and which dispute you opened then hard to advise.

Hi @kernowlass

My apologies. I didn't realise the full story was required. I thought I'd be wasting people's time.

I requested to have the name on my account changed. I provided all documentation and spoke with numerous PayPal staff, who advised that my request would be resolved. I even had a phone call with a rep, so they could understand why I was making the request.

My original request was submitted a few weeks ago and each time I try to follow up, I get the automatic response of "you cannot change ownership of your account" before they finally read the case notes and state, "I can see your request is being resolved."

Yesterday, I followed up and received the same response. I requested for assistance to lodge a complaint and was brought back, once again, to the matter of not being able to change ownership - which I am not requesting. I stated two more times that I would like to lodge a complaint and my request was deflected each time.

So, I would like to know of another way I can lodge an official complaint.

Has anyone experienced something like this before?

Thanks, @kernowlass . Yeah, I fall under one of the exceptions and they've got my documentation. I appreciate your help!
